Your people

Sown keeps a record of the people you would otherwise only think about: what you know about them, and the last time you spoke.

It is a notebook, not a network. The plot number, the name of somebody's daughter, what they cannot eat, the fact you last had lunch four days ago — written down once, on your own phone, and there when you need it.

What it does that others do not

• No red badge and no overdue list. Sown never keeps score. It has four contact states — in touch, steady, quiet, resting — and none of them is an alarm. There is no red anywhere in the app.
• One person at a time. When somebody has drifted, Sown offers you one name, never a queue. Resting is treated as a choice, not a lapse.
• A widget that carries three names and when you last spoke to each, without a single counter on it.
• Nothing to log into. The app has no account, no cloud and no network permission — it does not hold the permission that would let it connect, so there is nowhere for your record to go.
• In eight languages — English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese — with the dates and the relative times in each.

Where your record lives

In a single file in the app's own private storage, which no other app can read. Backups are a file you write where you choose — read the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and what is not.
